It's a chance to showcase your college/university, strengthen connections across your campus networks and throughout the advising community, and leave a lasting mark on academic advising in the state of Michigan. ImportaNt considerations for hosting the annual conference
Venue & date selection Budgeting & sponsorship Estimating costs for venue, catering, A/V, and materials; identifying sponsors or funding sources; tracking expenditures throughout. Committee management Recruitment, selection of committee members and organization into subcommittees; providing leadership and guidance to subcommittees for conference planning Programming & Speakers Issuing calls for proposals and selecting presentations, building the conference program, creating the schedule/agenda (scheduling sessions), recruiting and confirming keynote speaker, etc.. | Marketing & Registration Promoting the event to members, managing registration logistics, communicating updates, and handling attendee questions.Logistics & on-site coordination Arranging catering, A/V, signage, transportation, and accommodations; staffing volunteers; managing setup, run-of-show, and teardown.
